Missouri Southern to celebrate dedication of Rod Anderson Baseball Clubhouse

(From Missouri Southern State University)

Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) will host a special dedication event for the new Rod Anderson Baseball Clubhouse at 5:30 p.m. on May 14, at Warren Turner Field. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will move inside the Rasmussen Baseball and Softball Practice Facility.

The Rod Anderson Baseball Clubhouse stands as a symbol of community-driven generosity, having been made possible through 100% private funding and the support of 107 individual donors.

It is part of the Athletic Excellence project within the Lions Forward Campaign, which focuses on three key priorities: enhancing the student experience, fostering academic excellence, and building the campus of the future.

At the forefront of this project is Rod Anderson, a 1976 graduate of the Plaster School of Business and a longtime supporter of Missouri Southern athletics. Anderson provided the leadership gift that made this project possible.

Anderson, a Lantern Society Governors’ Circle member, has shown commitment to MSSU for over three decades. A true supporter of the university, he served on the Board of Governors (2003–2015), created two athletic endowments, and was recognized with the Lion Hearted Award in 2021.

While the clubhouse bears Anderson’s name, several other spaces within the facility recognize key contributors:

Taylor Family Locker Room
Coach Mike Wilson Coaches’ Office
Darnell Family Meeting Room
