(From Missouri Southern State University)

Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) celebrated its 84th Spring 2025 Commencement on May 10, awarding degrees to 582 graduates during two ceremonies held at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.

Degrees were conferred across the university’s four academic colleges: the College of Health, Life Sciences, and Education; the College of Arts and Sciences; the College of Business, Communications, and Technology; and the Graduate Studies program.

Among the graduates were recipients of advanced degrees, including the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Data Analytics, Master of Science in Management, and Master of Science in Sports and Recreation.

This year's graduating class included 13 international students representing 11 countries: Brazil, British Virgin Islands, India, Jamaica, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, and Ukraine.

Missouri Southern alumnus and Oklahoma State Representative Mark Tedford delivered the keynote address, offering graduates words of encouragement. Also, adding to the day’s significance, MSSU welcomed back 23 “Golden Graduates” from the Class of 1975 and earlier, who were honored for their lasting contributions to the university.

“This building is much larger than when I graduated. I remember walking as Dr. Billingsly led us graduates into Young Gymnasium,” explained Alan Hendrickson, Class of 1969, Golden Graduate.
MSSU congratulates the Class of 2025 and celebrates their achievements as they embark on the next chapter of their journeys.
