Neosho woman injured in two-vehicle collision

A Neosho woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision 9 a.m. today on MO 175 five miles north of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Dodge 1500 driven by Christopher C. Lewis, 18, Neosho, was crossing MO 175 from a private drive to another private drive and pulled out in the path of a 1993 Mazda Miata driven by Mariela Garcia-Mendoza, 22, Neosho. The Mendoza vehicle hit the Lewis vehicle in the right front corner.

Mendoza was taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, with moderate injuries.

Anderson teen injured in one-vehicle accident

An Anderson teen was injured in a one-car accident 1:35 p.m. today on Route F five miles west of Anderson.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Bailey B. Craessle, 16, ran off the south side of the roadway and and overturned.

Craessle was taken to Freeman Neosho with moderate injuries.

Webb CIty Police search for missing teens

Webb City Police need your help in finding two runaway teens. On Monday, June 30, 2014 at 03:00 hours the parents of Kyleer Lagrassa (15 year old white male from Webb City) reported him as a runaway juvenile. Kyleer is 5’6” tall, weighs 140 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. His parents were unable to give a clothing description or possible destination.

On Monday, June 30, 2014 at 07:00 hours the parents of Lillian Ann Reynolds (14 year old white female from Webb City) reported her as a runaway juvenile. Lillian is 5’8”, weighs 150 pounds, with brown hair, and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing zebra print shorts and a white t-shirt. Her parents were unable to give a possible destination.

Both runaways were seen together at an undisclosed address in Joplin at 07:00 hours on Monday, June 30th.

Foul play is not suspected in either case.

Anyone with information to the whereabouts of either Kyleer or Lillian are asked to contact the Webb City Police Department at 417 673-1911.

Woman killed in early morning accident near Neosho

A woman was killed in a one-car accident 4:40 a.m. today on U.S. 60, three miles west of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Coralee Maki, 39, Pittsburg, Kansas, traveled off the left side of the road and struck an embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn several times and ejecting the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fatality was the 51st this year for Troop D.

Joplin man killed in one-vehicle accident

A Joplin man was killed in a one-car accident 4 a.m. today on Jaguar Road one mile south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol, a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by James D. McNally, 50, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a fence.

The Newton County Coroner pronounced McNally dead at the scene.

The fatality was the 50th this year for Troop D.
