A Joplin man was killed in a one-car accident 4 a.m. today on Jaguar Road one mile south of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol, a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by James D. McNally, 50, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a fence.
The Newton County Coroner pronounced McNally dead at the scene.
The fatality was the 50th this year for Troop D.
