According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by a 36-year-old Joplin man crossed the center of the road, traveled off the left side of the embankment and struck an embankment.
He was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
