Pineville man seriously injured as ATV crashes into tree
Two Pineville residents were injured in an ATV accident 3:30 p.m. Monday on Cowan Ridge Road, six miles east of Pineville.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2018 Honda Rancher 420 ATV 4-wheeler driven by Ernest R. Montgomery 37, Pineville, ran off the right side of the roadway, striking a tree nearly head on.
Montgomery and a passenger, Aaron L. Montgomery, 10, Pineville, were both ejected.
Ernest Montgomery was treated for serious injuries at Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, Arkansas. Aaron Montgomery was treated for minor injuries.

Three Joplin residents, including 1, 4 year-olds injured in crash near Carthage
Three Joplin residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident 6:20 p.m. Monday on County Road 100, two mlles east of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Ford Explorer driven by Ruben A Caballo Gonzalez, 21, Joplin, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a utility pole and overturned.
Gonzalez and two passengers, Christopher Armando 1, and Justin Roberto, 4, both of Joplin, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

Liberal woman injured in collision with deer
A Liberal woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident 9:45 p.m. Saturday on MO 43, one mile north of Airport Drive.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2011 Ford Ranger driven by Tommie K. Whetzell, 61, Liberal, struck a deer in the roadway.
A passenger, Connie s. Whetzell, 54, Liberal, was treated for minor injuries at Cox Barton County Hospital.
