A Joplin woman was charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 4:15 p.m. Tuesday on Jackson Street, one mile south of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1990 Ford F-150 driven by Kristen H. Jewell, 26, Joplin, ran off the roadway, struck a mailbox, overturned, and hit a second mailbox.
Jewell was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
