Joplin man killed in accident on Junge Boulevard

A Joplin man was killed in a two-vehicle accident 10:45 .a.m. today on Junge Boulevard, three miles west of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol, a 2008 Chevrolet Express van driven by Mario A. Soriano, 27, Joplin, failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled into the path of a 2005 Chevrolet Impala driven by Raymond S. Dunaway, 35, Galena, Kansas, and was struck. The Soriano vehicle overturned off the roadway.

Soriano was pronounced dead at the scene. Dunaway was taken to Freeman West Hospital with serious injuries.

The fatality was the 84th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.

  1. I ride my motorcycle on 13th to avoid the highway people run those stop signs all the time or wait till you get close then gun it to get across it tis like a crap shoot
