A Carl Junction woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident 1:30 p.m. today on Route P four miles north of Carl Junction.
According to the Highway Patrol report, Bethany A. Steward, 25, Carl Junction, driving a 2006 Kia Reo was attempting to pass another vehicle, saw an oncoming vehicle, overcorrected, ran off the right side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned.
Steward was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
