A Greenfield woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident 10:25 a.m. today on MO 39 three miles north of Greenfield.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1990 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Heather D. McGuire, 36, Greenfield, crossed the center of the road and began skidding, traveled off the left side of the road and overturned. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:34 a.m. by Dade County Coroner Gary Banta.
Two passengers in the car, the driver's daughters Kierston R. Bowles, 6, and Baylor A. Bowles, 2, both of Greenfield, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
The fatality was the 82nd this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
