Cpl. Chuck Niess retires from Joplin Police Department

Cpl. Chuck Niess retired Wednesday after 27 years of service!

Chuck started his career in May of 1989 as a Reserve Police Officer and he became a full-time officer in May of 1996. 

Cpl. Niess worked in every Bureau and he served the Joplin community in many capacities including; Narcotics-Officer, Bicycle-Officer, Rapid Team-Supervisor among many others! 

Cpl. Niess is widely recognized as one of the most highly trained Emergency Management Personnel in the region! Chuck will be greatly missed by all of us here at JPD! Congratulations Chuck and God Bless!
