This week’s officer spotlight is Officer Katherine Ivie.
Officer Ivie is a 4-year veteran of law enforcement. Before joining the Joplin Police Department, she worked in banking.
Since joining the Joplin Police Department Officer Ivie has served as a patrol officer and a field training officer.
When asked what she wanted to the public to know about her job Officer Ivie responded with “I enjoy serving the community of Joplin and am proud to be part of this department.”
When asked what she likes to do in her time away from police work Officer Ivie stated that she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Bob.
