Carl Junction students place at district speech tournament

This past weekend, CJHS took nine students to the District Speech & Debate Tournament. They brought home eight medals and qualified for two entries to the state competition in April.
In speech events, Ashlyn Feagan took 2nd in Radio and will advance to the state competition.
Eleanor Jones placed 6th in U.S. Extemporaneous speaking.
Eden Alford placed 5th in International Extemporaneous speaking.

Paloma Thorpe-Bernal placed 7th in Dramatic Interpretation.
In debate events, Olivia Doss and Ashlyn Feagan Placed 3rd and will advance to state competition for Public Forum.
Eleanor Jones and Emma Brower both advanced to the quarterfinals and earned medals.
