Webb City man arrested on felony warrant

(From Webb City Police Department)

On Friday, March 17, 2023 at approximately 4:30pm, officers with the Webb City Police Department received information that a person wanted for a felony warrant was driving a black side-by-side Polaris ATV with mud on it, last seen northbound from the City of Joplin.

The wanted person was identified as Nathan Spencer, a 31-year old white male from Webb City, Missouri. Spencer is known to be armed, violent and had recently been involved in a vehicle pursuit with neighboring police departments.

A Webb City officer spotted a Polaris ATV matching the description at the Hurricane Car Wash (1703 W. MacArthur Drive) with a male subject washing mud off of it.

As officers were surrounding the vehicle, the subject fled from officers on foot south across MacArthur Drive toward a tree line. Officers gave chase on foot and captured him; at that time he was positively identified as the wanted fugitive, Nathan Spencer. Spencer was taken into custody with no further incident.

Spencer was transported to the Jasper County Jail and turned over to staff on his active felony warrant for Probation Violation (original charge of First Degree Assault) issued by the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole.
