A Joplin man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 4:25 p.m. Saturday on E. Zora Street two and a half miles south of Carterville.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2014 Toyota Sienna driven by Jay M. Spencer, 41, Joplin, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a metal utility pole. The vehicle overturned and Spencer, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected.
Spencer was airlifted to Cox South Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
