A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 15 at 7:15 pm at City Hall to review proposed changes to laws governing public works.

Other changes include:
- Eliminates high volume water and sewer rates.
- Proposes the addition of a $2.00 per month water & sewer improvement fee (27.315).
- Creates a new document that notes official fees and rates for city services (27.190).
- Removes laws on Subdivisions. These are being updated and moved to Chapter 40 Buildings.
- DNR mandated lead ban on drinking water plumbing (27.080).

- DNR mandated cross connections prohibited in drinking water plumbing (27.090 – 27.150)
- Backflow valves for qualifying wastewater systems (27.230).
- Formal standards for laying, bedding, and covering sewer and water services (27.190).
- Formal policy on forced wastewater mains (27.170.35.2)
- Formalizes standards for street excavations and requires higher future deposits for contractors who damage streets and fail to properly make repairs in a timely manner (27.560).
