(From the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office)Bradley Paul Shoemaker, 28, of Baxter Springs was sentenced to 195 months imprisonment on Monday, August 28, 2023, in Cherokee County District Court.
The sentence comes after Shoemaker pled guilty earlier this summer to one count of rape for engaging in unlawful sexual acts with a child under the age of 14 during the winter of 2019.
Shoemaker has been in custody at the Cherokee County Jail and will remain there until he is transferred to the Kansas Department of Corrections to begin his prison term.
Shoemaker was prosecuted by Cherokee County Attorney's Office.
