Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 5:40 p.m. today on U. S. 60 three miles east of Monett.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2018 Ford Focus driven by Michael E. Scott, 21, Aurora, failed to yield and pulled into the path of a 1997 Ford Expedition driven by Mary E. Vargas, 19, Wentworth.
Scott and Vargas were treated for serious injuries at Mercy Springfield and Cox South Hospital, Springfield, respectively.
