Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 2:39 p.m. today on southbound I-249 at Duenweg.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Briana A. De La Cruz, 30, Joplin, changed lanes into the path of a 2020 Peterbilt dump truck driven by John R. Martin, 61, Loma Linda, and struck the truck, which then struck a guardrail.
Martin was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Joplin.
De La Cruz sought her own treatment for minor injuries.
