Neosho man cited for DWI, passenger seriously injured in collision on 60

A Neosho man was cited for driving while intoxicated and his passenger was injured in a two-vehicle accident 5:45 p.m. Tuesday on U. S. 60 six miles west of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2016 Nissan Maxima driven by Brandon D. Waldrip, 39, Neosho, failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the side of a 2011 Chevrolet Impala driven by Jaynar Joseph, 33, Neosho.

A passenger in the Waldrip vehicle, Roy D. Waters, 56, Neosho, was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

In addition to the DWI charge, Waldrip was cited for failure to yield.

  3. This is all wrong. Brandon was not arrested & charged with DWI! He went to the hospital with family! He also did NOT hit the vehicle, he was hit. This is sickening how far you will go with fake information. Let’s mention the car that was driving eastbound IN THE FOG without lights on!!

  4. It's amazing that two different people said he wasn't arrested. That's sad. You clearly stated more than once that he was CITED for DWI and failure to yield. Not one time did you say he was arrested. Seriously people read the dang article.

    1. The headline on this article had first read he was arrested and in the story it said cited. They changed the headline to match the story after the comment were made

    2. Yes, I did change the headline and neglected to mention that, something that I normally do. On the other hand. The screenshot clearly shows his name was included on the Highway Patrol Arrests website.
