(From KGCS)

St. Louis Cardinals baseball fans got the chance to meet players and got autographs when the Cardinals Caravan came to the Missouri Southern State University campus on January 13th. During the visit, KGCS-TV staff and communication students took part in a media session conducting one-on-one interviews which will be featured in this week’s Newsmakers.

Students talked personally with second baseman and utility player, Brendan Donovan; catcher, Ivἀn Herrera; pitcher, Nick Robertson; pitcher, Max Rajcic; as well as alum Ryan Ludwick.

Future sports broadcasters talked to the caravan emcees Ricky Horton and Mike Claiborne to get advice and insights into their jobs, and life with the Cardinals Family. The show will include comments from fans and video of the autograph session.

The free event is held every year on the second Saturday in January and offers free autographs for the first 400 kids ages 15 and under.
