(From the Jasper County Sheriff's Office)At approximately 10:53 AM, June 18, 2024, a vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of 7th and Main streets involving a Jasper County Sheriff's vehicle and a pickup truck.
Initial investigation indicates that the driver of the pickup failed to yield at the intersection, which resulted in the collision with the Sheriff's Office patrol car.
That driver was issued a citation for failure to yield. There were no injuries.
We would like to thank the Joplin Police Department and METS for their prompt assistance at the scene.
