Road improvements scheduled between Diamond and Wentworth

Road Improvements at Various Locations in Southwest Missouri Beginning the Week of July 8

Benton, Hickory, Newton, Polk, Taney & Webster Counties – Drivers can expect lane closures and occasional traffic delays on various locations in Southwest Missouri Route for a seal coat project beginning the week of July 8, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews to seal the road with a mixture of rock and oil. A seal coat is an economical way to maintain and preserve the roadway. The treatments keep a road from deteriorating and will extend its life. Crews will work hours of 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. from Monday - Saturday.

Benton County

Route BB between U.S. Route 65 north of Warsaw and Waterview Drive east of Warsaw

Benton & Hickory CountyMissouri Route 83 between U.S. Route 54 east of Butcher and Warsaw Avenue in Warsaw

Newton County

Route J between Missouri Route 59 in Diamond and Missouri Route 37 in Wentworth

Route V between Old Highway 71 west of I-49 and Bonnie Lane west of Diamond

Polk County

Missouri Route 123 between north of East 340th Road and 372nd Road south of Humansville

Taney County

Missouri Route 76 between Route FF in Taneyville and Dalton Road north of Brownbranch

Missouri Route 176 between U.S. Route 65 south of Saddlebrooke and U.S. Route 160 north of Walnut Shade

Webster County

Route C between Loveland Street in Seymour and Route P north of Seymour

Route BB between Route K in Seymour and the Webster/Douglas County line







Route NN between Cardwell Chapel Road and Bluejay Road south of Diggins

Contractor crews will begin work in Taney County, then move to Webster, Newton, Polk and Benton Counties.

Traffic Impacts

Drivers can expect one-lane traffic with flaggers and a pilot vehicle guiding them through the work zones. Drivers on side roads are encouraged to wait for the pilot vehicle before entering the state routes.

Drivers may be stopped for up to 15 minutes

Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.

Local residents will be able to get to driveway and entrances along the road

Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule

Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
