Exclusive premiere of Truman documentary planned at Plaza Theater in Lamar

We are excited to announce along with the Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site and the Plaza Theater -- An Exclusive Early Premiere of Kansas City PBS: Winning the War: Harry, Ike & the Fight for Democracy.

The screening will take place at 3:15 PM at the Plaza Theater, May 10th and is FREE to attend following the Truman Day celebration.

As the world marks the 80th anniversary of the Allied victory in World War II, this new documentary examines the lives and leadership of two monumental figures — Harry S. Truman of Independence, Missouri, and Dwight D. Eisenhower of Abilene, Kansas — whose actions during the war helped shape the future of the globe and the preservation of democracy itself.
