Five people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 5:19 p.m. Monday on Spurgeon Road eight miles south of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Mercedes GL driven by a 59-year-old Joplin woman failed to yield to a 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by a 27-year-old Neosho woman.
A passenger in the Outlander, a 67-year-old Neosho woman, was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Joplin. Three other passengers in the vehicle, three boys aged 3, 5 and 8 were treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the Mercedes was treated for minor injuries at Mercy.
