(From the City of Joplin)
The City of Joplin is currently accepting applications for several boards and commissions with open seats.
Serving on a City board or commission is a valuable way to help shape local policies and contribute to the community.
Members serve as volunteers and have the opportunity to meet fellow residents, learn about city operations, and influence the city’s future. There are more than 20 boards and commissions within the city, each focused on a different area – from planning and public safety to cultural affairs. Members assess needs, review policies, make recommendations, and provide input on city projects.
