Three people injured in crash on 59

Three were people were injured in a two-vehicle collision 12:35 p.m. today on MO 59 five and a half miles from Diamond.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Nissan Rogue driven by a 19-year-old Lamar woman crested a hill and struck a 2016 Chevrolet Trax driven by a 65-year-old Fidelity woman. Both vehicles traveled off the right side of the roadway.

The drivers were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Joplin and a 90-year-old Fidelity woman who was a passenger in the Chevrolet Trax was treated for serious injuries at Mercy then transferred to Mercy Springfield.
