Technology can be daunting to a generation that did not grow up using it and even those older adults who are tech savvy are still targets of scam artists. The Better Business Bureau reports those age 65+ have a higher median dollar loss when scammed. Why seniors are commonly targeted and the riskiest scams are the focus of the next Newsmakers program.

Better Business Bureau Regional Director Pamela Hernandez gives details on investment and cryptocurrency scams as well as employment, online purchase and romance scams. She also discusses risk factors that can make anyone likely to fall for an online scam.
