Carthage residents injured in collision on 96

Two Carthage residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision 12:40 p.m. today on MO 96 at old 66 Boulevard at the Carthage city limits.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Nissan Altima driven by a 96-year-old Carthage woman slowed to make left turn and turned into the path of a 2023 Kia Sportage driven by an 80-year-old Carthage man.

The 96-year-old woman and a passenger in the 80-year-old man's vehicle, a 68-year-old Carthage woman were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Joplin.
