MSSU to offer SIx Sigma Green Belt workshop

(From Missouri Southern State University)

Missouri Southern State University will offer an eight-day Six Sigma Green Belt workshop this summer for professionals seeking practical tools to improve quality, reduce waste, and strengthen organizational performance.

The workshop will be held on the MSSU campus in Plaster Hall, Room 220, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on July 20–23 and August 10–13. Participants must attend both weeks of training. The last day to register is July 10, 2026.

Six Sigma is a data-driven methodology used to improve products, services, and processes by identifying root causes of variation, reducing defects, and applying disciplined problem-solving tools. The Green Belt workshop introduces participants to Six Sigma improvement methods through interactive instruction, hands-on simulations, exercises, case studies, and the use of Minitab Statistical Software.

Participants who successfully complete the workshop requirements will be eligible to earn Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Green Belt training is designed for individuals who want to support or lead process improvement projects in manufacturing, service, healthcare, education, government, and other settings where quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are priorities.

For more information about the workshop, contact Dr. Elke Howe at howe-e@mssu.edu. Registration is available through Missouri Southern State University Continuing Education.
