As school starts, be careful on 171/HH interchange work

As School Starts in Webb City, Be Aware of
Work on Route 171/HH Interchange

With area schools starting the week of August 11, a reminder that ramp and road closings remain in place at the Route 171/HH interchange near Carterville, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Both northbound ramps at the Route 171/Route HH interchange are CLOSED while work continues on a project to increase the distance between ramps for drivers traveling northbound on Route 249 to Route 171.

Signs and message boards are in place directing motorists to detours. Northbound Route 171 drivers wanting to exit on Route HH will continue on to the Brooklyn Heights exit. Drivers are directed to take southbound Route 171 to Route HH.

Traffic Impacts:
Both northbound ramps at Route 171/Route HH are closed.
Occasional lane closings on Route 171 and on Route HH.
Guardian Road closed at Route HH for the duration of the project.

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
