Three Joplin R-8 teachers receive Golden Apple awards

Sixty-one Joplin teachers were nominated for Golden Apple awards, which reward local educators. Teachers can be nominated by students, parents or other teachers. The Golden Apple awards program is in its 32nd year. The awards by grade level:

Kindergarten to second grade: Monica Bay, Jefferson Elementary School.

Third to fifth grade: Christina Elledge, Jefferson Elementary School.

Sixth to eighth grade: Kristopher Dishman, North Middle School.
