Please join me, Joplin Schools Leadership Team, and Board of Education in extending our best wishes and tremendous appreciation to Paul Barr who is retiring June 30, 2017, after 23 years of devoted service to the district.
During his tenure, we have relied on Paul’s disciplined, balanced, and strategic financial leadership to skillfully guide the district through a multitude of changes and challenges. Paul’s attention to detail and commitment to the students, staff, and patrons of the district has resulted in Joplin Schools’ sound financial health for more that two decades.
Paul plans to spend immediate retirement time with family, but will stay professionally active in the future as well.
