According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Isuzu NPR driven by Brandon L. Spear, 29, Pittsburg, crossed the median and struck a guardrail, overturning as it crossed the southbound lanes then struck another guardrail and the trailer of a 2020 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by Howard D. Jones, 56, Kansas City.
Spear was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
