Urbana man flown to Cox South, Liberal woman escapes injury in collision near Fair Play

An Urbana man was injured in a two-vehicle collision 10:05 p.m. Sunday on MO 32, three miles east of Fair Play.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Toyota Corolla driven by Jason J. Pingleton, 36, Urbana, crossed the center of the roadway and sideswiped a 2005 Nissan Altima driven by Alexys I. Barton, 21, Liberal, before traveling off the roadway and overturning.

Pingleton was airlifted to Cox South Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
