Carthage man injured in collision with mail truck on Fairview Avenue

A Carthage man was injured in a two-vehicle accident 11:30 a.m. today on Fairview Avenue, one mile west of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, as a 1994 GMC-Grumman-LLV mail truck driven by Teresa K. Block, 49, Reeds, pulled away from a mailbox, it was struck in the rear by a 2009 Honda Fit driven by Harmon R. Goldman, 83, Carthage.

Goldman was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage.
