Joplin man cited for felony DWI after head-on collision with carful of Joplin teens, four injured, two flown to area hospitals

Four Joplin residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision 12:31 a.m. on MO 96, three miles west of Miller.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Justin Sullivan, 20, Joplin, crossed the center line and struck a 2010 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 16-year-old Joplin boy head on.

Sullivan was flown to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, with serious injuries.








A passenger in the teen's vehicle, a 16-year-old girl, airlifted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries.

The driver was treated for serious injuries and another passenger, a 16-year-old female, for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

According to online Highway Patrol records, Sullivan was cited for three felony counts of driving while intoxicated resulting in serious injury, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident and failure to register his motor vehicle.
