(From the Joplin Police Department)On May 9th, 2022 at 10:19 am the Joplin Police Department Emergency Communications Center received a report of a business panic alarm at Great Southern Bank at 1232 S. Rangeline Road in Joplin.
As officers were responding it was learned the alarm was set off following a robbery at this location.
The suspect entered the bank and threatened the use of a weapon and demanded money and fled the scene shortly thereafter. No employees were injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white male, bald, wearing a dark colored long sleeve shirt, sunglasses and a surgical mask. He also appeared to have a bandage over the left side of his neck.
