A Republic man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 5:25 p.m. Wednesday on MO 43, four miles south of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Toyota Prius driven by Randy L. Dale, 64, Republic, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Dale was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:44 p.m.
The fatality was the 37th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
