(From the Sarcoxie Police Department)On 04/28/2022, Chief Corum received a call notifying the department of drug activity near the High School.
Officer Kriegar and Chief Corum arrived in the area and observed a white male and female walking towards 1622 Clarence Street. The male saw us and took off on foot to the residence. Thane Wagoner, was charged with theft from the restrooms by the High School.
The female, Angella D. Schroeder, was detained. She had multiple warrants, including a full extradition warrant for a Parole Violation.
A search was conducted of her property, suspected methamphetamine paraphernalia was located, nothing was located on a pat down of her person. Schroeder was placed under arrest for her warrants and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia - amphetamine or methamphetamine.
While cataloging evidence, Bryan Jones was observed riding his bike towards his residence of 1622 Clarence Street. Jones had an active warrant out of our city. He was detained, before search of his person Jones handed Chief Corum a case that contained a crystal-like substance commonly known as methamphetamine.
Jones was placed under arrest by Officer Kriegar for his warrant and possession of a controlled substance.
While waiting for another unit to arrive to assist with transporting the two in custody, Joshua L. Jackson and Misty A. Thompson arrived and walked onto the property of 1622 Clarence Street. I requested them to stop and come over to my location. Jackson dropped a bag behind a tree.
The bag was recovered, located inside was a items related to narcotic use and a brown wallet. Inside the brown wallet, a baggie of a crystal-like substance commonly known as methamphetamine was located.
Jackson was placed under arrest by Officer Kriegar for the possession of a controlled substance.
Thompson was free to leave.

All three subjects were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center where they remain on their charges. Schroeder was charged additionally for taking a controlled substance into jail, it was located on her person.
Solid police work and plain pure luck played a part in getting the suspects in custody.
If you want to do your narcotics, we advise you to find a different place other than here to do them. They are not welcome in our city.
Jackson, Jones, and Schroeder are presumed innocent until proven otherwise by the court.
