(From the Nevada Police Department)Over the last week, our officers have been doing a great job interdicting criminal activity in our community!
Officers conducted a drug investigation in a residential area. They were able to take the suspect in the investigation into custody. They also seized methamphetamine and a stolen firearm that was reported stolen from Joplin, Missouri.
Officers responded to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers were able to take the suspect into custody. The suspect was also identified as one being linked to stealing credit devices and using them unlawfully which was reported earlier in the day.
During a follow-up investigation into a theft, officers located a subject with outstanding felony warrants and took them into custody.
An officer on patrol observed a wanted subject pass him in a vehicle. The officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle and the subject attempted to flee. The individual eventually abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot where the officer was able to take them into custody.
During a night shift patrol, an officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle in question, but the driver failed to yield and shortly after wrecked the vehicle and officers were able to take them into custody.
While investigating a disturbance between two individuals officers discovered one of the subjects had outstanding warrants. Officers were able to take that subject into custody.
A traffic stop was conducted by officers and during the investigation officers located and seized suspected methamphetamine. Later that night the same officer was conducting another roadside investigation when they discovered suspected methamphetamine paraphernalia.
An officer attempted to make a stop on a vehicle and the vehicle attempted to flee before eventually stopping. During the investigation, officers discovered the driver was in possession of methamphetamine.
While patrolling a school zone an officer observed a subject with an outstanding felony warrant. The officer was able to contact the individual and take them into custody on the warrant.
A great job to these officers for taking a proactive approach while on patrol!
