South Connecticut Avenue in Joplin to close for two days

On Monday, February 12th, weather permitting, Connecticut Avenue will be closed to traffic between 36th Street and 38th Street. 

This closure is occurring for the installation of a stormwater pipe under the street as part of the ongoing Connecticut Avenue widening project. 

Work is expected to take one to two days. If the work extends into a second day, the road will be open at the end of the workday until work resumes in the morning. Side streets will be open, and access will be maintained for the nearby residents during the closure.
