Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 1:43 p.m. Sunday on MO 97 at Farm Road 2040 two miles south of Monett.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2002 GMC Sierra driven by Eric S. Cahalan, 45, Sarcoxie, was northbound when a 2008 Ford Explorer driven by Hunter W. Shrum, 18, Monett, attempted to make a left turn without yielding. The Cahalan vehicle struck the Shrum vehicle.
Shrum and a passenger in his vehicle, Mary F. Shrum, 78, Monett, were treated for moderate and serious injuries, respectively, at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
Cahalan was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Joplin.
