Agenda posted for Joplin Regional Airport Board meeting
When American Airlines had the contract there were 3 -4 round trip flights per day to Chicago and 3-4 to to Dallas. Both gates were utilized and flights were full and was a big reason that the parking lot was expanded. With only 1-2 flights that United is doing is not favorable for the region and is making frequent travelers like myself to go to the other three airports - SGF, XNA and TUL. If we want to bring more people to the region, it would make sense to open this up for bids to other airlines that will help increase community traffic and another reason to bring people in.
