Missouri Southern commencement set for Saturday

Missouri Southern State University will award degrees to 244 students at the 83rd commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m. The event, located in Leggett and Platt Athletic Center, will celebrate the conferring of master’s, bachelor’s, and associate degrees to the students.

Doors for graduates and guests will open at 8:30 a.m.







Graduating students represent the College of Health, Life Sciences and Education; the College of Arts and Sciences; and the College of Business, Communication and Technology. The ceremony will also recognize the graduation of 11 international students representing eight different countries: Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Germany, Jamaica, South Africa, United Kingdom, and Zimbabwe.

Dr. Clay Routledge—a 1999 MSSU graduate and vice president of research and director of the Human Flourishing Lab, Archbridge Institute—will be the commencement’s guest speaker. Prior to joining Archbridge, Clay spent two decades in academia as a professor of psychology, and most recently, as the Challey Professor of Management and Hetland Distinguished Professor of Business at North Dakota State University.
