Numerous people have reported receiving text messages from the Missouri Department of Transportation saying that they owe money for a traffic ticket.
This is a scam! Ignore and delete this message.
MODOT does not issue or collect fine money for tickets.
DO NOT click the link and never give your bank account info or make payments to anyone that has contacted you electronically unless you know them and have a business relationship with them.
Better safe than sorry, delete these messages and do not reply to them.
