Pavement sealing work planned on Route O in Greenfield

TRAFFIC ALERT: Pavement Sealing Work Planned on Route O in Dade Co. April 27

When: 7 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday, April 27

Where: Route O between U.S. Route 160 on the north end and U.S. Route 160 on the east end east of Greenfield

What: MoDOT crews sealing these routes with a mixture of rock and oil

Traffic Impacts

Both lanes of Route O CLOSED in sections where crews are working

Drivers will encounter flaggers and pilot cars directing them through the work zone. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zone or before entering the work zone from a side road.

Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone

No signed detours, drivers urged to find alternate routes

Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

A seal coat is not an alternative to an asphalt overlay, but is planned for this road as an economical way to maintain and preserve the roadway. The treatments keep a road from deteriorating and will extend its life.
