Carthage man crashes motorcycle while fleeing from law enforcement, passenger injured

A Carthage man crashed the motorcycle he was driving while fleeing from law enforcement, injuring his passenger, a Texas woman.

According to the Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred at 7:25 p.m. Thursday three miles south of Sarcoxie when Levi D. Conrad, 30, Carthage, driving a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle, failed to negotiate a 90 degree right turn and curve.







The motorcycle overturned, went off the north side of the roadway and hit a metal gate.

The passenger, Tami D. Hoult, 53, Grand Prairie, Texas, was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
