Nighttime traffic to be affected as crews lay pavement on 32nd Street at Indiana, Connecticut avenues

TRAFFIC ALERT: Nighttime Traffic Impacts on 32nd St. at Indiana Ave., Connecticut Ave. in Joplin

Where: 32nd St. (Jasper County Route FF) at Indiana Ave. and Connecticut Ave. in Joplin

When: 7 p.m.-7 a.m., Sunday-Wednesday, May 3-6

What: Contractor crews laying new asphalt pavement at both intersections

Traffic Impacts:

-Indiana Ave. CLOSED at 32nd St. (Route FF). Drivers will have no access to Indiana Ave. from 32nd St.

-32nd St. reduced to one lane in both directions at Indiana Ave.

-Eastbound 32nd St. reduced to one lane at Connecticut Ave.

-Southbound right lane of Connecticut Ave. CLOSED on both sides of 32nd St.

-Northbound right lane of Connecticut Ave. CLOSED south of 32nd St.

-All lanes open to traffic during daytime hours

-No signed detour

-Drivers should find alternate route

Project Information:

This work is part of a project to resurface 32nd St. (Route FF) in Joplin between Main St. (Missouri Route 43) and Missouri Route 249 and improve three intersections (Main St., Indiana Ave., Connecticut Ave.). The project is a cost share with the City of Joplin and is scheduled to be complete by July 1, 2020.

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
