Newsmakers program to feature MSSU counseling services during COVID-19 pandemic

A look at the ACTS office at Missouri Southern State University, as well as the counseling services that continue to be offered during the COVID-19 pandemic, highlight the next edition of “Newsmakers” on KGCS-TV.

Faustina Abrahams, director of advising, counseling & testing services, visits with Judy Stiles, host and KGCS general manager, to discuss how her office continues to serve students with advising and enrollment needs.

Heather Bullock, lead mental health counselor for ACTS, also explains how they’re providing telemental health services and resources for students.








The show will air nightly at 5:30 p.m., beginning Wednesday, April 29 – and is currently posted on the station’s YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/T0cs04bMx-c, as well as the university’s website: www.mssu.edu.

KGCS programming can be seen on channel 21. It is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
